Please join us for STReeT. A celebration of global street cuisine. Some of the best food around the world comes not from the fanciest restaurants but from the food trucks, roadside vendors, makeshift huts and corner stands that dot a city's landscape. True artists perfectly blend spices, ingredients, and culture in such a way that in single bite can evoke the history of a regions cuisine.
Many people the world over may never be able to afford a seat in a plush indoor restaurant but still manage to eat superbly well. They assemble and share food in crowded alleys, in tree-shaded squares, under covered shopping malls, in ancient cobbled medinas, or under the faded silk canopies of temples.
It was once said that Street food is a catchy melody played in many different harmonies and in minor as well as major keys.
Our celebration will entail an all-encompassing, multi sensory, multi course meal. Each of the many courses will feature a cuisine from a different country and culture. The menu will be eclectic, with a diverse mix of flavors, spices, ingredients and preparations.
Dining will be at communal tables. You will toast, break bread, converse and dine with people who may be strangers at first but will soon be new friends. Adult beverages are not included but you are welcome to bring your favorite libations to enjoy and share. We will provide mixers and garnishes for your favorite concoctions.
