Fresh off of the Newport Folk Festival and an NPR Tiny Desk Concert, Christopher Paul Stelling returns to the Desert Island Supply Co. on his Labor Against Waste tour.
PopMatters recently labeled Stelling "one of our most moral (as opposed to moralistic) songwriters, a truth-seeker whose songs are often parables, because that narrative form best captures the complexity and ambiguity of truth." And its review of Labor Against Waste, Paste described the album as Stelling's "most masterfully crafted effort to date."
Stelling always put on an amazing show at the Desert Island Supply Co., and this one will be extra special because opening for Stelling is Birmingham's masterful Duquette Johnston, who will be making his Desert Island Supply Co. debut. |
