Brought to you by Columbia Winery in coordination with KEXP radio, Columbia Winery presents American Island. As its title suggests, 'Origami Eyes' the debut album from American Island is a dark and contemplative affair. It's a record that's riddled with depression and despair and which is set in a world of the perpetually cloudy skies of Seattle. Yet at the same time, the powerful force of these songs which explode in vicious torrents of angst and anger battle against that darkness, fighting against it as much as they encourage it. For American Island is a band that thrives from self-doubt that lives in the shadows, that exists to tear everything down. |
