Musique baroque et contemporaine avec Francis Colpron aux flûtes à bec et traversière

Ce récital de Francis Colpron propose des œuvres contemporaines et de la musique allemande rare de l'époque baroque. Mais, contrairement à l'usage, le XXIe siècle précédera le XVIIIe, d'où le titre du concert, qui signifie à l'envers ! En effet, la première partie fera entendre d'étonnantes compositions actuelles écrites pour la flûte à bec seule, la deuxième sera consacrée à des sonates de Groneman, Graaf et Müthel pour la flûte traversière, accompagnée au violoncelle par Mélisande Corriveau et au clavecin par Eric Milnes.

Baroque and contemporary music with Francis Colpron on recorders and traverse

In this recital, Francis Colpron presents both contemporary works and rarely heard German music from the Baroque era. Contrary to convention, the 21st century will precede the 18th and hence the title of the concert al rovescio, Italian for backwards! In the first half of the concert we will hear extraordinary recent compositions for solo recorder, while the second half will be dedicated to sonatas by Groneman, Graaf, and Müthel for traverso, accompanied on cello by Mélisande Corriveau and on harpsichord by Eric Milnes.
