Come see this wild retelling of a fairy tale classic! The original tale of the Princess and the Pea is turned on its head in this zany Kingdom where no one is allowed to wed until the Prince finds a wife. Our royal family consists of an overbearing Queen and a mute, pantomiming King played by seniors Morgan Troxler and Jordan Guye, and their son, Prince Dauntless the Drab, brought to life by freshman Dylan Tate. When Princess Winnifred, freshman Katie Dodson, a loud, free-spirited Princess, enters their life by swimming their moat, hilarity ensues as the Queen and her Wizard henchman, 7th grader Emily Clark, try to do everything in their power to keep the Prince and Princess from marrying. The Kingdom, full of men and women desperate to marry, pray for Winnifred's success in suing for the Prince's hand- especially Sir Harry and Lady Larken, played by freshman Jacob nice and Holly Huffine, a Knight and a Lady in Waiting who must marry before their elopement and impending baby are discovered. The court Jester, the hilarious Luke Kimball, and a beautiful, fun-loving Minstrel played by freshman Ashton Cozart round out the main cast of characters.
