5th Wall Theatre launches its second season with the 2nd Annual preview + party fundraiser at the historic Hippodrome Theatre in downtown Richmond. This preview event will feature cabaret chanteuse Georgia Rogers Farmers, with special appearances by singer/songwriter Psalm Swarr and recording artist and musical theatre legend Desiree Roots, as well as highlights from the 2014 2015 inaugural season and the announcement of the 2015 2016 season.
Music director Kim Fox, along with guitarist Grant Oliver and drummer Bentley Cobb, join with Billy Christopher Maupin to create a varied evening of entertainment featuring some of Richmond's hottest theatre stars. Award-winning actress Eva DeVirgilis leads the evening as Master of Ceremony.
The evening begins with a VIP reception at 6 p.m. in the Hippodrome's upstairs lounge, where guests can mingle with the artists and enjoy hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. The house opens downstairs at 7 p.m., where guests can participate in a silent auction featuring a dazzling array of items from tickets to custom paintings to trips and more.
At 7:30, the evening's main event begins on the Hippodrome Theatre's main stage, featuring musical numbers, scenes from 5th Wall's hit productions of H2O, The Lyons, and The Human Terrain, as well as preview scenes from the upcoming season featuring some of Richmond's hottest talent. This event will certainly be a highlight of the theatrical season.
