Our first "Friendraiser" event was so much fun we had to do it again!
Join us for our 2nd annual Friendraiser at Monday Night Brewing on Tuesday, April 28th 6pm - 8pm, and help us re-open the greenspace around Atlanta Waterworks.
The festive evening will bring together neighbors, community supporters, local businesses, and public officials to raise awareness and funds for the re-opening of the greenspace at Atlanta Waterworks.
Your ticket buys you a tour of Monday Night Brewing facility, a sampling of their signature craft beers in a limited-edition souvenir pint glass, and assorted bites from some great local restaurants including FIGO Pasta, Grecian Gyro, Ormsby's, Souper Jenny, and West Egg Cafe.
All proceeds from the event will go to Friends of Atlanta Waterworks, a new Park Pride "friends of the park" organization with the goal of re-opening a world class greenspace at the Atlanta Waterworks.
ABOUT ATLANTA WATERWORKS For more than a 100 years, the greenspace around Atlanta Waterworks was open to the public for enjoyment and passive recreation. In 1996, however, the area was temporarily fenced off for the Olympics, and remains inaccessible. Now neighbors, greenspace advocates, and public officials are coming together with the goal of re-opening Atlanta Waterworks.
Atlanta Waterworks is being envisioned in accordance with the Atlanta BeltLine's subarea 8 master plan and will include walking trails, green lawns, old-growth oak trees, and connectivity to future Atlanta BeltLine trails.
