Monica Bryson is a manipulative and self-absorbed gold-digger who is in constant need to be the center of attention. After an intense break-up with her well-to-do boyfriend, she thrusts herself back into the dating world as she tries to find a man that can satisfy her money-loving appetite. Nathan Bryson, her brother, is the opposite. He is about to marry a sweet young lady that Monica finds unworthy. Nathan's even-tempered nature is tested when his sister puts him in some compromising situations while he deals with the emotional baggage of his fiance. Their mother, Wilhemina, tells it like it is. As a single woman in her 50s who usually likes to date several different men for all the wrong reasons, she has found someone that caters to all of her needs. This new man of hers is quite special as he is the only one who knows the secrets she's been keeping from her children. Monica's assistant, Scarlett, has marriage woes all her own with her controlling husband, Diego. Diego's selfishness and frustrated state of mind cripple the current state of their nuptials. Monica, being at the core of it all, experiences an interesting turn of fate as secrets are divulged. When all is said and done, everyone's relationship is at stake in the stage production "All That Glitters Ain't Gold."
