One of Marc's best friends, Serge, has just bought a very expensive painting. It's about two feet by three, all white with white diagonal lines. To Marc the painting is a joke, but serge insists Marc doesn't have the proper standard to judge the work. Another friend, Yvan, though burdened by his own problems, allows himself to be pulled into this disagreement. Lines are drawn, and these old friends square off over the canvas. As their arguments become less theoretical and more personal, the men must decide how to deal with their friends' failures and changes, or risk destroying their friendships.
Dear Stone Theater company invites you to join us for a clever, biting, and hilarious exploration of friendship that asks us to consider how we adjust to the changes our friends make in their lives, the actions we must take to maintain friendships under pressure, and the underlying things that bind us to one another when all else is stripped away.
Featuring: Nick Strauss as Marc Brian Elliott as Serge and Jake Baker as Yvan
