Fresh off the heels of a 4-star run in the 2014 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, returns the smash-hit of the 2013 Philly Fringe: The Post Show.
We begin at the end. As the audience takes their seats, the show concludes. A post show discussion commences and morphs into a hilarious, contorted, face-melting, loop of insanity. Part scripted and part improvisation, THE POST SHOW is front-to-back hilarious, yes, but it's also an honest and penetrating look into how art is made. The Berserker Residents are 'More Boosh than the Mighty Boosh!' (Dan Rothenberg, Pig Iron Theatre) and have been heralded by The New York Times as 'specialists in site-specific overgrown kid theater' and praised for their 'refusal to relinquish that unrefined creative spirit.'
About The Berserker Residents: The Berserker Residents are dedicated to original works of alternative comedy with a pop-comic aesthetic. This American team of Philadelphia-based collaborators Justin Jain, David Johnson, and Bradley K. Wrenn have spearheaded a comedic theatrical style that blends physical theatre, puppetry, music, sketch, and prop comedy to create compelling and fantastic theatrical events. Founded in 2007, The Berserkers have toured nationally across the U.S., are published by Playscripts, Inc., have garnered residencies at Ars Nova NYC, and THE POST SHOW marks their 6th original show to date.
THE POST SHOW has been in development since 2012, having started in-residency at Philadelphia FringeArts. The show has had workshop performances at Ars Nova NYC in 2012 and Philly Fringe 2013. THE POST SHOW has also been selected by Philadelphia FringeArts for an American premiere in the 2014-2015 theatrical season. |
