Moonlights at the castle Green featuring Janet Klein & her Parlor Boys promises to be an amazing evening. Not just another home tour, not just another concert but a very special evening event taking place at the Castle Green on Friday, June 6, 2014, from 5-9. The evening will begin with light refreshments, no host bar, and self guided tours of some fabulous apartments featuring period, artistic and unique furnishings and views of the rooftop terrace. The lovely and adorable chanteuse Janet Klein & her Parlor Boys will then take over the ballroom with her sometimes naughty and coy but always inspired renditions of Tin Pan Alley, early jazz, and lost classics.

Sponsored by The Friends of the Castle Green, who have been supporting historical restorations to the Castle Green for the past twenty years. Most recently, master craftsman, has restored the original "alabaster: wainscot from 1898 seen throughout the entry hall, grand staircase and ballroom These are painted slate slabs made to appear to be alabaster.

The Castle Green was built in 1898 as an annex to The Green Hotel in Pasadena. The architect was Fredrick Roehrig. It is one of the historical treasures of Pasadena with most of it public spaces, including the Turkish and Moorish rooms, virtually in tact.You are transported back a century when you enter the front gates. Come and be a part of this extraordinary evening.

Period dress encouraged if only a pair of suspenders or feather and rhinestones in the hair.

The cost is $40 per person, light refreshments and no host bar.
