On May 15, 2013 between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. over ten restaurants and merchants will provide tastings on location at the hub extending through the 2900 to 3100 blocks of California, 3100 through 3400 block of Elston, and 2700 through 2900 blocks of Belmont Avenues in the heart of Chicago's buzzing Avondale community. Restaurants include a wide range of specialities and consist of Chief O'Neill's Irish Pub; Honey Butter Fried Chicken; Jaiyen Sushi; Dragon Lady Lounge; The Pork Shoppe; Square Bar; The Beer Temple; Urban Belly; and The Orbit Room. Trolleys will be available for free and easy transport between venues. A $20.00 ticket provides the opportunity to taste the fare at premiere dining and entertainment spots, as well as neighborhood insights from Forgotten Chicago members. |
