In this time of upheaval and uncertainty in our country, it is our responsibility as artists to educate and uplift our community. The Blues were created as a means of coping with the injustices of the world. We sing them now to commiserate, to celebrate, to howl, to heal, to rail against the ills of society and to find solace in what makes it beautiful.
We want to do everything we can to fortify ourselves, our allies, our friends, our families, and the organizations that will defend us and our civil liberties.
Come warm your heart, and kiss off 2016 to the sweet sounds of I N B L U E with:
Alex Bechtel Miche Braden Christopher Colucci Charlie DelMarcelle Jessica Donley Liz Filios Ozzie Jones Mina Kawahara Josh Neale Kanako Omae And more
Proceeds from this concert will go directly to support The NAACP Legal Defense Fund, Jazz Bridge - an organization that aids Jazz and Blues musicians in times of crisis, and the Philadelphia Chapter of Black Lives Matter.
