Leeds Roller Dolls is hosting a new skater intake specifically for women 18+ who have little or no roller derby experience.
Each intake is a 12 week course, with two sessions a week: Sundays 1 - 3:30pm and Tuesdays 7 - 8:30pm. We'll teach you (quite a lot of) everything you need to know about skating skills and tactics for playing roller derby. All we ask is that when you start, you can skate 5 laps of our track unassisted.
The first month is the bargain price of £15, including your introductory session. We lend you skates and protective kit so you don't have to splash out on equipment until you've decided that it's for you (which you will, because roller derby is amazing). We do ask that you buy a mouth guard, these can be purchased cheaply from most sports shops.
The introductory session takes place from 2:00 - 4:30pm, but we'll ask you to come early to get kitted up on the day.
After the first month dues are £30 a month.
The subsequent sessions take place on Tuesdays from 7:00 - 8:30pm and on Sundays from 1:00 - 3:30pm. |
