Featuring musicians from Hong Kong's renowned ensemble, Chinese Music Virtuosi, together with talented local guests in a program of traditional Chinese instrumental music and contemporary works, including world-premiere compositions by Hawai'i and Hong Kong composers.

The members of Hong Kong's Chinese Music Virtuosi (CMV) are among the most accomplished teachers and performers of Chinese musical instruments. They established CMV in 1997 to promote Chinese instrumental music, from cherished oldies to newly commissioned works. They share the belief that there remain exciting creative possibilities in the world of Chinese music, with the traditional instruments producing lovely sounds and incorporating dazzling performance techniques. Chinese Music Virtuosi was appointed the Ensemble-in-Residence of the Music Department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2011-2012.
